ResQMesh — iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, CarPlay, Android, Android Auto, Garmin

Condizioni d'uso

Ultimo aggiornamento: 18 ottobre 2026

5. I tuoi contenuti

11. Legge e controversie

ResQMesh — iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, CarPlay, Android, Android Auto, Garmin

Terms of Use

Last updated: 18 October 2026

ResQMesh helps a team communicate where there is no coverage. It does not replace emergency services: in an emergency, call 112 first.

1. Who we are

ResQMesh is a product of Railab S.r.l., Via Adolfo Ferrata 2, 25123 Brescia, Italy, VAT IT03984120984, [email protected]. These terms apply to the ResQMesh app (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, CarPlay, Android, Android Auto) and to the app for Garmin watches. By using the apps you accept them.

2. What ResQMesh does and does not do

ResQMesh helps a team communicate where there is no coverage, through LoRa radio boards: messages, positions, ALERTs. It does not replace emergency services. In an emergency, call 112 first. Delivery of messages, positions and ALERTs is not guaranteed: radio depends on distance, obstacles, battery, interference and on how the boards are set up. ResQMesh is experimental and is not a certified safety device.

3. Licence to use

Railab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the apps on your devices. The apps, the ResQMesh name and logo remain Railab's. You may not resell the apps, distribute modified copies or get around their licence. The board firmware has its own free licence, which keeps the rights given by the open-source libraries: firmware licence.

4. Radio and the rules

Whoever transmits is responsible for what they send and for using the frequencies and power allowed where they are.

  • On 433 MHz and on APRS you transmit as a radio amateur: you need the licence and your own callsign. There, messages travel in clear, as amateur radio rules require.
  • On 868 MHz you use the licence-free bands, with their limits on transmit time and power. With the network key messages are encrypted, except the Emergency-Net channel, which stays in clear so that anyone can receive an ALERT.
  • Positions sent as APRS beacons join the amateur network and can appear on public websites with the callsign.

5. Your content

Messages, positions and history are yours and stay on your devices (see the privacy policy). Railab does not receive or keep them. What has already been sent over the radio cannot be called back.

6. Yearly licence and prices

The apps are free to download. Without a licence, the ALERT and APRS work. The yearly licence (price shown in the store before you buy) unlocks channels, private messages, team positions, the network profile, encryption, APRS maps, the watch and the car.

  • The subscription is bought and managed in the App Store or Google Play and renews every year until you cancel it in the store settings at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • Refunds and withdrawal follow the rules of Apple or Google, who take the payment.
  • Whoever bought the paid iOS app before 8 October 2026 keeps the paid features without a subscription.
  • On Android, if Google Play does not answer, the licence stays valid for 3 days from the first start, then locks until it is verified.
  • The licence of the Garmin watch is written on the board by the phone app and lasts a limited time (on iPhone until the end of the subscription plus 14 days, on Android 31 days, renewed at every connection).
  • Organisations and groups can have dedicated versions and terms, under a separate contract.

7. Test versions

Test versions (TestFlight, Google Play testing, the beta firmware channel on railab.com) may have defects, change without notice or be withdrawn. Use them only for testing.

8. Availability

Railab may change or remove features and may not offer the apps in some countries (today, for example, not in France).

9. Warranties and liability

The apps and the firmware are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, Railab is not liable for messages, positions or ALERTs not delivered or delayed, for lost data, or for indirect damage. Rights the law does not allow to exclude remain, including consumer rights and liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Changes

Railab may update these terms. Important changes are published on this page with the new date; by using the apps after publication you accept them.

11. Law and disputes

Italian law applies. First write to [email protected]: we will try to solve it together. Consumers keep the courts of their place of residence and the protections of the country they live in. For non-consumers, the courts of Brescia have jurisdiction.
